Morning Bruise

Keep the shades closed, stay away from windows, keep your eyes peeled for those telltale red dots while I watch your blind spots. Sight the tree lines, keep your back tight to the corners while I clear the rooms in sequence and set up our defences. We'll see all our friends through a telescope lens for now. We'll keep them all in a state of suspense for now. While we coke & spiriters tease this conspiracy out. We'll seal off the bubble, fire up the perimeter lights. Just periscope down and dive below the ice. Blend into the background, slip our tails and go, a couple of grifters, two consummate pros. So draw the blinds, we've earned this time, the world will wait while we will this world to life. We'll see all our friends through a telescope lens for now. We'll keep them all in a state of suspense for now. While we coke & spiriters tease this conspiracy out.

Heliophilia 02:58
In between the strobing flares, the heat distorted sheen, shaking on the rainbow of a pool of kerosene. Count it on one hand. Post-hypnotic state. Through the razorwire we run. Where'd it all go so right? One sucker punch of sunlight and I'm taking it to heart. I saw the lights in you. I'll solder wires in you.

Tenderfoot 04:13
Winter takes its toll, separates the marrow from the bone. So, hold your tongue 'til it's done. We're not a million miles away. Ethanol reacts, isolates the weaker of the pack with such bad timing undermining everything in a million mile radius. If you're looking for a volunteer to commandeer, darling, I am smitten. We're not a million miles away. We hack a fearsome pace where every screaming centimetre says, "bide your time, hold the line, until the fleet's encircled all the strays." If you're looking for a tourniquet, for the record, darling, I am smitten, from a million miles away.

Spitefuck 06:37
We were better off before we let them sink their teeth into our necks. We had neon coloured plans, but styrofoam intentions scuppered them. So love the lie. But the tightening gaps between the thunderclaps and the flash is frightening, and you can't react, 'cos it shows your hand, 'cos it welcomes in a war. We were better off as friends, were better without understanding, but don't freak out or anything but I think our debt is ever mounting. So love the lie. And you can't relax, it's a heart attack that you keep inviting, and I played my part, fell in love so hard that it changed my DNA. So we work the steps, but there's nothing left, nothing left standing. We blessed a parasite, preserved a spark in spite and it makes you wonder: where'd the heart go? Where'd the heart go so wrong? Where'd the heart go? We were better off before we let them sink their teeth into our necks. So don't freak out or anything, but I think we've gotten stuck spitefucking.

about

Cfit Dublin, Ireland

Cfit began in bedrooms and homemade studios, as a side project for Noël Duplaa evolved into a collection of woozy, bruised, melancholy anthems. Playing their first gig at Electric Picnic 2010 as a three-piece, Cfit expanded to a five-piece to play Hard Working Class Heroes 2010. They have been listed by State, Whelans, goldenplec and The Star as one of the most promising bands in Ireland. ... more
